Come and join Rachael once a month to reset, restore and re-calibrate body, breath and mind.
This monthly 90 minute practice will explore an intention through carefully selected restorative and yin postures where there will be opportunity to lay back into your props to rest and replenish.
Restorative yoga involves using props to hold and support the body in postures for a number of minutes so as we can begin to re-address and re-balance the nervous system. We can move from the ‘Fight or Flight’ mode (which many of us are habitually stuck in due to everyday stress) toward the ‘Rest & Digest ’ mode which is when healing and rest can take place in the body and is the bodies more natural state of being.
Sunday Sanctuary will be set against a backdrop of especially selected essential oils and aromatics diffused into the space and also made into blends to be applied directly to the skin . The essential oil blends will work on the physical and emotional body to compliment the intention and create scope for us to drop deeper into a restorative state.
Sunday Sanctuary will be appropriate for individuals of all levels of experience. Whether you are a new or a seasoned practitioner, the practice of Restorative and Yin yoga has so many healing benefits. It is a beautiful opportunity to press pause and find refuge from all of the busyness and doing, replacing it with a little ‘un-doing’. You will leave feeling refreshed, revived, restored……I look forward to welcoming you….
