Saturday 15th September
9:00 am – 4:30 pm
Eddington is a flourishing new community being delivered by the University of Cambridge, it’s the largest single capital project in its 800-year history. Cambridge’s newest district already has a primary school, community centre (that’s us), supermarket and sporting facilities with more to come.
The first phase of the development is focused on creating the foundations for a long-lasting and sustainable community, with some 700 homes and facilities to support new residents, neighbours and the wider Cambridge community. Join us for a day of talks and tours by the architects and professionals who have created the scheme and find out more about our ambitions for this new neighbourhood.
Why not sign up for an architect led tour of Storey’s Field Centre and find out how this award winning building went from the drawing board to becoming a building site to being open and used by the community.
During the day many of our regular users will be around to demonstrate what they do in the centre and you can have a go or sign up to various courses and activities.
For more information about Open Eddington download the Open Eddington brochure.
Entry to the Centre is free.
The tours are free, but advance booking is required.
