Storey’s Field Centre is adjacent to key bus and cycle routes and is welcoming and accessible. All the rooms have a hearing loop and we can offer a translation system for multilingual meetings.
Event Support Team
Our venue team will help and support you to deliver a high-quality event from the first meeting to the pack down.
We will discuss your requirements in detail and ensure your rooms are set up to your specification in advance of your arrival, taking the stress out of the start to the day – leaving you to focus on your attendees. We offer full audio visual support including microphones, laser projector, translation equipment and dedicated technical staff to ensure your event goes off without a glitch.
Storey’s Field Centre work closely with local caterers to provide food especially tailored for your event. Whether you require a formal sit-down banquet, hot or cold buffets, barbeque, a gourmet treat or a simple sandwich lunch we can help to source the best catering solution for your event, whatever your budget.
We provide tea and coffee in house to fit your schedule. Storey’s Field Centre is fully licensed so you can have the option of social drinks to end the day.
We have the stunning Hyatt Centric Cambridge just opposite the Centre. They can offer rooms, suites and apartments from overnight to several months. It also has a great restaurant and a nice roof top cocktail lounge too!
Storey’s Field Centre was designed and built to BREEAM Outstanding standards. This means that throughout the design stages sustainability was at the heart of the architect’s thinking and quite literally in the very foundations of the building.
State of the art Passive-vent air flow systems keep the hall fresh without the need of electric fans to circulate the air. A labyrinth below the hall draws in fresh air and cools it, as the warm air in the hall rises naturally upwards to exit via vents in the roof, fresh air is drawn through and rises through the vents to replace the hot air above.
To reduce the number of deliveries needed we’ve got all the equipment that you need for a wide range of events already in-house. We offer free use of tables, chairs, glassware, linen, crockery, cutlery, theatre lighting, sound, monitors, mixers, mics and staging.
We use a local peddle powered linen collection and washing service. Our preferred breweries are within a five-mile radius. We use local suppliers for business sandwich lunches, banquet catering and local food trucks are brought in for parties. One of our caterers is literally over the road.
We recycle extensively and we are working towards zero landfill. Single use plastic has had its day, we’d rather use glassware and crockery than disposable plates and cups where possible.
We whole heartedly encourage arriving on foot, bikes, e-scooters, skateboards and buses. Eddington has a dedicated bus service and also links up with the normal Stagecoach buses on Madingley and Huntingdon Roads.
We tailor each event to suit your needs and offer a per delegate rate including catering, a package price day rate, or a hire rate per room by the hour if you prefer. Hall 18m x 10m:
The Main Hall offers a range of set up options and can host 180 theatre style, 120 seated in a cabaret or classroom format, or 80 board room style. The Hall features a natural ventilation system bringing fresh air in by making use of convection. The hall comes complete with a 11m screen, staging, lights, sound and a wide range of microphones.
Studio 9.5m x 9m:
The Studio has its own internal courtyard with floor to ceiling sliding windows and can be hired as part of conference package as a breakout space or for individual meetings. It has a picture hanging system for information displays, a LCD projector, 5m screen, and PA system with microphones, hearing loop and speakers. It can seat up to 75 theatre style, up to 40 conference, 50 classroom style, or up to 60 banquet style.
Meeting Room 6m x 4.5m:
This is a light and airy room which is ideal for a range of activities including board meetings, training sessions, art workshops, and one-to-one meetings. The Meeting Room can be booked as a children’s room for weddings or as a breakout space for larger meetings. It has a wall-mounted, flat screen display, microphones, hearing loop, and a sink for art activities or for making drinks.
A large, bright café style area greets you on arrival. Complete with a designer reception desk that doubles as a box office for delegate check-in and picture hanging system for exhibitions or information displays. The foyer with its with elegant tables and chairs on English marble, is the perfect space for your attendees to mingle and network. The foyer is served by the adjoining kitchen and bar.
